Subject: Immediate Cancellation of Subscription Payments - Legal Basis


Dear Canal+ Customer Service Team,


I am writing to inform you of my decision to cancel my subscription with Canal+ effective immediately. My name is Jan xxxxxxx , and I am a subscriber under the account xxxxxxxxxxxxx .


Although my subscription was initially agreed upon for a two-year term, recent circumstances necessitate an early termination. As per European Union consumer protection laws, customers reserve the right to cancel recurring payments for services they no longer wish to receive, irrespective of the agreed-upon minimum term.


Reference is made to the Regulation (EU) No 524/2013 on Online Dispute Resolution, which stipulates that consumers have the right to seek online resolution of disputes. Additionally, Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights provides consumers with the right to withdraw from a distance or off-premises contract within a reasonable time frame.


Therefore, I demand that all future payments associated with my subscription be terminated immediately, effective from the next billing cycle. Furthermore, I request written confirmation of the cancellation within the stipulated time frame.


Failure to comply with this request will prompt me to escalate this matter to relevant consumer protection authorities, as I am well within my rights to do so under EU law.


I expect prompt action on this matter and anticipate your cooperation in facilitating the cancellation process.
